Red Hots at the Red Roof

In June and July, pedestrians on President Kennedy Avenue were greeted by St. John’s own ‘Mr. Hotdog’, who directed them to our pop-up food stand on the front lawn.

The hotdog sale served as a fundraiser for St. John’s to take advantage of the foot traffic generated by the summer festivals (Les Francofolies, The Montreal International Jazz Festival, and Les Nuits d’Afrique) at the.nearby Quartier des spectacles.

As barbecued wieners and soft drinks were sold, patrons had the opportunity to speak to our volunteers to learn more about the church and to get to know us.

Several hundred dollars were raised, and a good time was had by all!
