The Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament at St. John’s
Our well-wishes to parishioner and altar server Derek who recently became a member of The Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. Derek was inducted by the Venerable Michael Robson at the celebration of Corpus Christi.
The Confraternity, founded in England in 1862, is a devotional society that encourages the honouring of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, the praying for one another at the Eucharist, and the observing and promoting of careful preparation for Holy Communion.
Several members of St. John’s are active in the society and attend meetings and Benediction at the church.
